THE BLUETONES GET THEIR KIT ON FOR THE NME CARLING CUP in aid of NSPCC
Showing that their talent in the charts is matched by their ability on the pitch, The Bluetones will be 'putting it in the back of the net' at the NME Carling Cup on Sunday 4th February at the Crystal Palace Indoor Arena.
Part of the NME Awards season, the NME Carling Cup brings together some of music, TV and footballs biggest names, in 'a game of two halves' in aid of the NSPCC.
The event will showcase the footballing talents of a host of celebrity players including members from music giants Reef, Terrorvision, Idlewild and Prodigy, David Gray, Big Brother evictees Nasty Nick & Melanie Hill, Emmerdale bad boys Ben Freeman & Glen Lamont, TV Totty Claire Goose and the cats that got the cream Atomic Kitten! To keep the players in line and add to the competitive edge, ex-footballers Neil Webb, Mickey Thomas and Ray Houghton will be managing the teams to victory on the day.
The NME Carling Cup is a six team, 5-a-side tournament. Each team will play2/3 games until the main contenders go head to head in The Grand Final. The atmosphere is sure to be electric as footie fans stand alongside star- gazers to make some noise at this celebrity sporting first!
Doors Open 11am. Tournament kicks off at noon and continues throughout the day with music, live commentary and prizes to be won.

All profits from ticket sales will be donated to the NSPCC.
